Our Reason for Being

The anger that started wars that killed millions also exists inside of me. The jealousy that led to a brother killing a brother also exists inside of you. Every imperfection of the human ego can fester and grow inside each of us as we experience not being seen and loved fully. When I witness all the tragedies in the world today, from the local mental health crisis to global poverty, disease, and war, my passion turns to the inner journey of healing that each of us can take on.

If we each did that, our collective human experience would significantly improve.

For this exact reason, I launched Manifestations Capital with our debut fund: Accelerate Healing I. 20 intentional CEOs leading 20 impactful companies offering services, products, and tools that will help people progress along their inner healing journey - whether that starts with body, mind, or spirit.  This same notion of inner and global healing is beautifully articulated by Yung Pueblo, who has recently become an important teacher to me. Below, I share a quote that I just read this week from his new book Lighter. And as you read it, perhaps consider what gift you may have to help accelerate this healing in our world, even if it’s just your own. Or perhaps, most importantly if it’s just your own.

“This moment is an opening to grow deeply in our maturity so that we may build a world that is no longer structurally harmful but is structurally compassionate… The evolution of the way humanity thinks and acts is spurred on by many factors.  But one major factor stands out: the healing of the individual.  All people do not need to be perfectly healed for us to live in a more peaceful world, but as more and more people progress in their healing, this will create waves that can change the trajectory of human history.  As more people heal themselves, our actions will become more intentional, our decisions will become more compassionate, our thinking will become clearer, and the future of the world will become brighter.”
